Bhatura

Bhatura is an Indian Bread which is very famous in north India. It is made from Maida, a white flour made from finely milled wheat. It is also used to make nan and tandoori breads. Bhatura is deep fried in oil and is generally eaten with chole which is also one of my hub recipes. Its a very tasty bread and can be prepared quickly. Do try it and enjoy it with family and friends..

Ingredients

Maida - 2 Cups
Sooji - 2 Tsp
Baking Powder - 1 Tsp
Curd - 1/2 Cup
Oil - 1 Cup
Salt to taste

Method

Mix maida, sooji, baking powder, salt and 4 tsp of oil. Now start kneading the dough with wiped curd. If curd gets over, you can add some water in it and make the dough as shown.

Make thin circular sheets from dough as shown with the wooden roller.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry it in oil as shown.

Enjoy Hot, Fluffy and tasty bhatura with chole.
